2 What kind of yarns do you need
Socks with different functions may require different yarns, regarding children’s socks, it may focus on comfort; for sports socks, it may need elasticity and sweat absorption; for outdoor socks, it may require wear-resisting. Here I list some yarns and their characteristics for reference.
Cotton: the most common material, with good heat preservation and moisture absorption, and socks made of cotton are comfortable to wear.
Nylon: Nylon is the first synthetic fibre in the world. It is wear-resistant, strong and light, and can keep high elasticity for socks.
Spandex: Spandex is commonly known as elastic fibre, which has high elasticity and strong flexibility. The fibre lengthened 5 to 7 times longer after stretching. Textile products with spandex can maintain its original contour for a long time, and almost all the socks’ elasticity is from spandex.
Wool: wool has largely consisted of protein. The socks made of wool are plump, warm, comfortable, and usually more expensive.
Bamboo fibre: fabric with bamboo fibre also has the feature of soft，elegant and comfortable, and it is wear-resisting, pilling free, moisture absorptive, quick drying, and breathable, and even with medical properties that natural antibacterial, anti-mite and deodorant.
3 The quantity of socks you need to customize
The customers without OEM experience may have no idea about product quantity. Before the production start, it is necessary to draw the pattern and convert it into machine code. It also needs to debug the machine and make the sample. All of these costs will be distributed on each pair of socks, the fewer of socks, the more expensive price for each pair.
